The First Naval District team was located at Charlestown Navy Yard, Boston, Massachusetts. The First Naval District Athletic Director, George Brown, published a call for United States Naval Reserve Force (U.S.N.R.F.) hockey players on November 19, 1917. A December 12 article noted that 40 candidates were prepared to play. The following table provides a few of those 40+ candidates.
